Preparation for the Workshop (email 19 July 2017):

Some items to prepare for next week.

1)  Make sure you can access your eLab account.  At one time we all had access to the Teacher section of the Cosmic Ray eLab

http://www.i2u2.org/elab/cosmic/teacher/

And if you need a new password please ask the QuarkNET folks for one.  Last year we used the LIGO eLab and this year I believe it will be the CMS eLab.

2) Bring laptops, especially for Thursday and Friday when we will be having CMS Open Data training by Marla Glover, a science teacher and QuarkNET educator.

3) Monday we are in our usual room SC6322 down the hall from the Physics Department office.  I should have some signs up if you make it into the building.  Will attach the map again:)  For Monday let us gather from 8 to 8:30am and I will start at 8:30am.  Usual snacks provided.  We are at Vanderbilt except for Wednesday when we will visit MTSU in Murfreesboro.

4) If you have not sent me it, please bring the IRS form for processing your stipend.  It is the W-9 and the link for it is https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw9.pdf  .  Hopefully this will expedite getting the payments out.

It seems that scheduling the Workshop for the last week of July will likely have to change, with school starting so early.  Think about the schedule and we can discuss it next week.  Early in the summer?  Late?  Mid-summer?
