Plotting LHC Discovery

Students learn how particle physicists look for evidence of a new particle when the students re-discover a well-understood particle. They create a histogram with data from experimental measurements and the background model and examine and describe features of the plot. They are able to examine plots from any discovery announcements and do the same for the new particles.
